Rituale Romanum
(pocket-size)

A reprint of a Latin-only, 1944 edition of the traditional Rituale Romanum (Roman Ritual), the official liturgical book that contains the various blessings of the Roman Rite for such item as medals, rosaries, scapulars, etc.

This is the typical edition of the Rituale Romanum, so take note that it does not contain blessings particular to various countries like a Collectio Rituum.

However, it does contain 2 special appendixes:

  • Benedictiones Proprię (proper blessings for certain religious orders and priests who have faculties).

  • Benedictiones Approbatę Pro Aliquibus Locis (a small number of popular blessings used in some places).

This high-quality reproduction has convenient pocket-size dimensions (6½” x 4¼” x almost 1" thick), sewn binding, hardbound in black cloth with gold-embossing on the spine and includes a protective slipcase.

The Latin-only texts (which include Gregorian chant notation where necessary) are printed in black and red throughout on cream bible-type paper, with the pages edged in red, while 2 midi-braid ribbons in white and yellow are available for ease of use.

Another item of use has been included: a 4-page supplement containing the special exorcism prayers composed by Pope Leo XIII in 1890 (NB: the standard edition of the Rituale Romanum does not contain the full exorcism ritual; see Fr. Weller's Roman Ritual series).
